The Role
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making across the business. Whilst you’ll be based in our Head Office in Rosebery, you’ll assist and liaise with teams across Australia and other international locations.
This role is well suited for an experienced Financial Accountant looking to step up or already at the Senior Accountant level.
Skills and experience
You’ll have:
- CA or CPA qualified; Big-4 and Retail experience preferred but not essential
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, experienced Financial Accountants encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Month-end process automation and ERP implementation experience highly regarded; prior Xero experience advantageous
- Self-propelling and thrives in fast-paced Retail / multisite / high-volume environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Team leadership capabilities and strong business partnering skills
- Exposure to inventory management systems and inventory reporting

Key Responsibilities
You’ll lead the day-to-day financial accounting function, managing month-end close, audits, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance across multiple entities. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to deliver accurate reporting, maintain a strong control environment, and drive continuous improvement in our finance operations. You’ll be expected to:
- Manage end to end month-end close process, P&L reviews and Balance Sheet reconciliations, within set deadlines
- Manage year-end external audit
- Manage fixed asset register, including depreciation and lease amortisation schedules under AASB 16 and US GAAP across multiple entities
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements
- Assistance with Australian and International tax returns, including tax-effect accounting
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with policies and reporting deadlines
- Provide guidance and support to other team members as required (e.g. Payroll, AP, Admin)
- Maintain strong internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure audit readiness
- Support external audit and tax reviews, including documentation and reconciliations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes, systems and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, monthly variance analysis (e.g. insights/trends) and commentary to support strategic decision-making.
