
Kitchen Assistant

The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’re responsible for producing the ingredients that make up our delicious salad bowls. We’ll provide you with thorough training and set a clear career path for you to grow with us in a high performing culture.
Skills and experience
You’ll have:
- Experience working in industrial and/or restaurant kitchens
- A passion for food and kitchen operations
- Exceptional understanding of food safety guidelines and practices
- Characteristics reflective of FISHBOWL’s ethos: self-motivated, positivity, service-oriented, flexible, and ethical with a high degree of integrity.
Key Responsibilities
You will work with fellow Kitchen Assistants, Kitchen Supervisors, and your Kitchen Managers to deliver an exceptional product. You’ll be expected to:
- Assist with ingredient preparation in the kitchen
- Use our state of the art processing machines
- Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct regular inventory counts
- Ensure critical standards of product quality, daily food safety and sanitation
- Role model and reinforce FISHBOWL’s people and culture standards.

The Interview Process
Here’s what you can expect during our recruitment process:
- Initial pre-screen call with our Recruitment team (10-15 min)
- In-person trial with one of our Kitchen leaders – stepping into the action of our central kitchen (1 hour)
- You’re on the team – job offer and onboarding process begins
